Human-Centered Thinking
Figma & Figjam
Project description
Praxis is a modern in-car interface concept designed to make driving feel simpler, safer, and more personal. Inspired by praxeology—the study of human decision-making—the project focuses on how drivers interact with technology in real moments on the road.
Timeline
End-to-end design completed in 10 weeks alongside multiple projects.
Background
Praxis prioritizes clarity, comfort, and trust through clean layouts and minimal visual noise. Features like voice assistance, subtle motion, and personalized greetings reduce distraction while helping drivers feel confident and connected.
Process
This project followed a human-centered approach, focusing on real driver behaviors, needs, and safety. The process included research, feature definition, design, and iterative refinement to create an interface that feels intuitive, calm, and distraction-free.

Early wireframes were used to map core flows and define information hierarchy across key screens, including the home, media, VUI, and driver profile. This stage helped validate functionality, screen relationships, and usability before moving into high-fidelity design.
Research
Analyzed existing in-car systems and interviewed drivers to identify usability issues and distraction points.
Prototyping
Defined core features and created wireframes and prototypes focused on clarity and quick interactions.
High-Fidelity Design
Designed a calm, modern UI with clear hierarchy, legible typography, and simplified iconography.
Refinement
Tested interactive prototypes and refined layouts, contrast, and motion to improve usability and focus.
Solution
Praxis simplifies the driving experience by focusing on essential functions—navigation, calls, music, and voice control—organized clearly and safely.
Clear & Calm UI
The interface uses soft colors, simple icons, and accessible text to reduce distraction and improve readability.
Voice & Touch
Drivers can complete tasks seamlessly via touch or voice, with layouts optimized for both interaction methods.
Focused Functionality
Essential features are prioritized first to ensure reliability, with future expansions planned without compromising clarity.
